Daft Punk’s “Lose Yourself To Dance”: Hear Pharrell’s Other ‘Random Access Memories’ Track

OK so the full Daft Punk album has finally been unleashed upon the world (in streaming form, at least). These are exciting times! And you should definitely listen to the whole thing straight through before you start plucking out single tracks. But! We want to isolate one track in particular for now — “Lose Yourself to Dance” — because it’s the album’s other track with Pharrell (the first, of course, being lead single “Get Lucky”).

This cut shares many of the hallmarks of that single: a talk box, Nile Rodgers‘ crystalline guitar lines, Pharrell’s appealingly thin falsetto. But for us, at least, everything comes together in a more compelling package here. Whereas “Get Lucky” sounded classic, this sounds like classic Daft Punk. That’s our first impression, anyway. Check it out below.
