Yes, the criminally unattractive British vocal group made an impact with their debut album’s Coldplay-inspired anthemic pop-rock songs on their last album, but the first single from their as-yet-untitled sophomore LP, “Brokenhearted,” is a chewier nugget: More Maroon 5 than Chris Martin in its jangly, funked-out vibe.
