Pet Shop Boys’ “Fluorescent”: Hear A Minute Of The ‘Electric’ Album Track

Pet Shop Boys continue to tease their forthcoming 12th album Electric (out July 15), this time via a video clip featuring a snippet of eerie electro track “Fluorescent.” It’s the fourth song on the LP, and like “Axis,” it travels more in the club vein. That said, while the album does have the duo tipping their hats toward the dance floor, having now heard the Stuart Price-produced Electric in full, I can say that the nine tracks are comprised of more experimental dance numbers, a la 1993’s Relentless, as well as upbeat pop songs, some of which sound like secretly-shelved gems from the Please and Actually eras.

For now, though, take in the glowing circuitry, the pagan-esque imagery and the pulsating synths of “Fluorescent” in the video clip above.
