Kanye West’s ‘Yeezus’ Will Not Be Available For Pre-Order: See The Very Polite Flyer

A few weeks back, Kanye West‘s Yeezus was listed on the iTunes Store, only to be taken down a few hours later. Turns out the reversal may have happened because there will be no pre-order for the album. French designer Jean Touitou, one of Yeezy’s creative collaborators, tweeted out a flyer announcing that Ye’s album won’t be available for purchase until June 18. This tactic would be similar to the old school release of Watch the Throne back in 2011 — no pre-orders, no preview streams, no leaks.

Also of note in the flyer (besides its polite request that people “please purchase” the album on June 18) is the album artwork. Gone is the melted gold blob; there’s no booklet, just a plain CD with the red “Yeezus” label. Perhaps the gold art was for a deluxe version? Or was a fake? Anyway, head below to see Touitou’s tweet and the flyer.
