‘The Voice’ On ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’: Watch A Preview
On Sunday, June 2, Oprah Winfrey sits with the Voice cast to talk the show’s superstar judges and overall success for Oprah’s Next Chapter. A new promo shows that she asks new judges Usher and Shakira of their childhood stardom, and longtime judges Blake Shelton and Adam Levine on marriage — how to maintain it (Shelton, with wife and fellow country star Miranda Lambert) and, well, why wait (Levine).
In another sneak peek, Winfrey asks Usher and Shakira about their part in boosting The Voice‘s star power, as the show’s beat American Idol‘s ratings for the first time this season. “I do feel that there is a special chemistry between us four,” Shakira says. “I don’t know. We just have fun, and I think that translates [to] the audience. And it’s very genuine. Whatever you see on TV, it’s exactly what’s happening.”
What’s yet to be seen, though, is whether Winfrey visited The Voice cast before or after Levine’s “I hate this country” quip during Tuesday’s elimination. Oprah’s Next Chapter‘s chat with The Voice cast airs at 9 p.m. EST on OWN.
