Michael Jackson’s Daughter Hospitalized After Suicide Attempt

Paris Jackson, the 15-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, was rushed to the hospital this morning (June 5) after a suicide attempt. TMZ first broke the story, reporting that she was taken in on a possible overdose and also had “multiple cuts on one of her wrists.” Jackson’s mother Debbie Rowe has confirmed the reports, telling Entertainment Tonight Paris did try to commit suicide and is currently recovering in a Los Angeles hospital. Rowe says Paris has had “a lot going on [lately].” Then, after rushing to celeb gossip factory ET, Rowe had the gall to send out the family attorney and ask the media for privacy. Ugh.

A source “close to the family” tells ET that Paris’s actions may have stemmed from being told she wasn’t allowed to go to a Marilyn Manson concert. And do with this information what you will: she’s a huge Kurt Cobain fan (as you can see with her shirt in the above photo), and about 12 hours ago, she tweeted “yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away… now it looks as though they’re here to stay,” from The Beatles‘ “Yesterday.”

Hopefully, Paris will see a full recovery and get the help she needs.
