2 Chainz Announces Sophomore Album Title
Fresh off his headlining set at Atlanta’s HOT 107.9 Birthday Bash, 2 Chainz took to Twitter to announce the title of his sophomore album: Based on a T.R.U. Story II. While the College Park rapper typically takes a downright silly approach to his punchlines, his new album title shows that he’s all business.
It’s hard to blame 2 Chainz for sticking to what he knows. Throughout 2012 he made himself known with a series of winning guest verses, and then he followed up with several hit singles off his No. 1 major-label debut: “No Lie” featuring Drake, “I Love Dem Strippers” with Nicki Minaj, “Birthday Song” featuring Kanye West, “I’m Diff’rent.” He’s since collaborated with artists ranging from Fall Out Boy to Major Lazer and The-Dream alongside Beyonce, and he teamed with Pharrell for his first B.O.A.T.S II single “Feds Watching.” (Tru.)
