Bonnaroo 2013: Solange Keeps It Breezy (PHOTOS)

As opposed to many of the artists who spent their time at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee hanging out in the artist tent, Solange stayed unusually busy: Friday (June 14) saw her making two appearances, first to duet with her pals in Grizzly Bear during their set and later, performing with hip-hop legends like RZA from The Wu-Tang Clan, The Neptunes’ Chad Hugo and DJ Jazzy Jeff during a rap superjam. Then, on Saturday (June 15), she had her own solo set, a whir of tunes primarily from her exceptional True EP (as well as older favorites like the still-peerless-all-these-years-later “Sandcastle Disco,” and one of her favorite covers, Dirty Projectors‘ “Stillness Is The Move”).

Although the heat was sweltering, Solange appeared unbothered in a cropped printed top and matching skirt with a light geometric cardigan, leopard print heels (duh) and long braids. (At the very least, she looked breezier than most of the sunburnt audience.) But by the time she hit “Losing You,” nobody seemed too troubled.
