Remember The Veronicas? You know, the incredible Australian duo who broke worldwide with the still-brilliant “Untouched” and then seemingly dropped off the face of the planet? Well, they’re back! Almost. After a botched comeback last year with the underwhelming electro-experiment “Lolita”, the Origliasso twins gallantly returned to the studio and posted a behind-the-scenes video to prove it.

The promising clip, which recently surfaced on the band’s Facebook page, shows Jessica and Lisa working with Wes Jones (one half of production outfit 1984). The Veronicas play pinball, talk about their favorite tea and preview a new song called “Sugar Daddy”. It’s a return to the dark, dirty and slightly unsettling pop that made them a multi-platinum phenomenon in their homeland. Strings, synths and the haunting “Don’t you wanna be in love?” refrain promise very good things for their first album in six years.

Has absence made the heart grow fonder or is it a case of too little, too late? Watch the video and express yourself in the comments.
