A$AP Rocky‘s LongLiveA$AP is one of the year’s most wide-ranging (and best) hip-hop albums. And Rocky himself is looking to capitalize on that momentum and prove his skills as a producer by taking a page out of his buddy Clams Casino‘s book and releasing an album of instrumentals later this year. The Harlem MC tells MTV that Beauty And The Beast: Slowed Down Sessions, Chapter 1 contains “really druggy, ambient shit.” “Everything is like classical beautiful music and boom-bap Wu-Tang shit mixed together. It’s slowed down and it’s real vibey, with no lyrics,” he said.

Rocky revealed the album will be free, and threw in his typical dose of confidence: “I think people are gonna be intrigued by it because it’s actually good. I wouldn’t do nothing that I didn’t feel confident or comfortable about. I think people gonna like this shit.”
