For Blondie‘s glossy new single “A Rose By Any Name,” two bold and brash female singers have teamed up. Debbie Harry trades verses with Gossip‘s Beth Ditto, singing “If you’re a boy or if you’re a girl / I love you just the same” on the refrain.
It’s a dance track that channels Blondie’s disco-via-New Wave sounds of “Call Me” and “Rapture.” And it’s a good fit for Ditto, too, as Gossip’s last two albums found her singing over poppier and more groove-centric cuts. Check it out below.
