MTV gave iconic girl group TLC some much-deserved love this weekend at their international Video Music Awards ceremony in Japan, where Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas picked up the coveted Legend Award on behalf of the group. (The only other recipient in history is Michael Jackson, which is pretty legit.)

As always, the absence of Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes, who died in 2002, was palpable: “I know she’s smiling right now,” Chilli said. “I know she has a hand in us continuing on and she’s missed, but she’s never forgotten.”

The two surviving members performed a hit medley including all the favorites: “Unpretty,” “No Scrubs,” “Waterfalls,” “What About Your Friends,” and most importantly, “Silly Ho.” (It’s an underrated classic.)
