Justin Timberlake ended his self-imposed musical hiatus with an effort so confident it almost sounded casual. He so easily lets big sounds and big grooves wash over the listener on The 20/20 Experience that, at first, you don’t realize how immaculate everything sounds. This isn’t any grand musical statement, but it doesn’t have to be, because the sounds are incredibly rich and the melodies are stickier than strawberry bubblegum.
