Beyonce has hand picked rising R&B ringer Luke James as the support act for the US and Canadian leg of her Mrs. Carter Show world tour. The 29-yer-old crooner opened for Bey on her European dates and won rave reviews. In a statement, the iTunes-weary diva called Mr. James “pure talent”.

“He is a gifted singer and songwriter,” King B continued. “I am excited to have him continue on the tour.” That’s glowing praise indeed and the feeling is mutual. The Grammy nominee also issued a statement, saying: “Being on tour overseas with Beyonce was magical! I learned so much from her in Europe. Her artistry, professionalism and work ethic are incomparable.”

Luke rejoins the “Standing On The Sun” singer on June 29th at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. No word yet who will open for Bey in Los Angeles tonight (June 28).
