Kanye West Will Release “Black Skinhead” As His First ‘Yeezus’ Single, Video Coming Soon

Kanye West built anticipation for his new album Yeezus with one of the biggest publicity stunts in music this year:  he refused to release a single. Instead, he debuted “New Slaves” by video projection in 10 different cities, performed “Black Skinhead” during the season finale of Saturday Night Live and projected an American Psycho-inspired clip during his Los Angeles listening party.

Now that Yeezus is out (and earned its place on at least one Top 10 list), West has decided to release “Black Skinhead” as the album’s first single, according to Billboard. DJs will receive and debut a clean version of the song for radio airplay — key lines include, “I keep it 300 like the Romans, 300 bitches, where the Trojans,” among others — right as West releases a coinciding video, which will likely be in time for the July 4th holiday.

What do you think West has in store for his “Black Skinhead” video? Let us know in the comments.
