The Collective Releases “Another Life”: Listen To The Australian Boy Band’s Synth-Ballad

There’s always room for another boy band on your iPod. If not, then delete something else to make some room for The Collective. With members ranging in age between 17 and 23, the five boys were thrown together on the 2012 season of X Factor Australia and now have their sights set on emulating fellow talent show alumni One Direction. The fivesome started off quite respectably with debut single “Surrender” (a top 10 hit in December) but they have taken it to the next level with “Another Life”.

Written and produced by DNA, the production outfit behind Ricky Martin‘s “Come With Me” and Samantha Jade‘s “Firestater”, the latest offering from The Collective is a synth-drenched power ballad that would make The Backstreet Boys green with envy. This is a slick pop record with an extremely catchy chorus and impressive vocals. “Another Life” is available to download in their homeland now with a physical single — complete with fold-out poster — due on July 19.

What’s the verdict? Do you have room for Trent, Julian, Zach, Jayden and Will in your life? Let us know in the comments.
