The only remix that matters this summer has arrived. Celebrated rapstress Khia (of “My Neck My Back” fame, as well as many other well-loved classics such as “Snatch The Cat Back” and “Pay Yo Pussy Bill”) has put her own spin on Miley Cyrus‘ party jam “We Can’t Stop,” and — unsurprisingly, given the Queen of the South’s rather downmarket sensibilities — it’s pretty ratchet. But weirdly, it sort of improves upon the song (which I didn’t think was possible).
Harmonizing with Cyrus’ “La da di da di” hook before launching into her own husky, country-twanged verses, Khia spits: “Hannah Montana, she a big girl now / Poppin’ and twerkin’, she the shit girl now.” Yup.
Props to the scabrous femcee for foregoing her typical stunt queen fuckery to actually turn out a summer anthem. Big ups, Khia.
