Lil Wayne’s “God Bless Amerika” Video: Watch Weezy Bring It Home
Lil Wayne has dropped what turned out to be the pretty uncontroversial video for his I Am Not A Human Being II message track “God Bless Amerika.” Last month, behind-the-scenes footage of the video showed Weezy unknowingly stepping on an American flag, and that part wasn’t even in the frame of the actual music video so who even cares, but later Wayne apologized anyway because you know how people are. ANYWAY, the official clip is up, and it starts with that big flag backdrop, before showing the run-down conditions of Weezy’s neighborhood of Hollygrove in New Orleans.
Directed by Eif Rivera (“Freaks”), the bleak visual certainly fits with the downcast song. Check it out up top.
