Demi Lovato Talks Miley Cyrus’ Partying: “I’m Always Like, ‘Just Be Careful'”
Ah, how the Disney queens have gone their separate ways. Demi Lovato is a vocal champion for recovery and sobriety, while Miley Cyrus is getting turnt up as her party guests wait for a line in the bathroom. But although the two starlets aren’t as close as they once were, they still have enough of a rapport that Lovato’s had some wise words for Cyrus — having already been through the ringer with hard partying herself.
“She knows how I feel about the whole partying thing,” Lovato said to MTV News. “I love her to death and I’m always like, ‘Just be careful!’ She’s like, ‘Dude, I’m chilling. It’s fine.’ I care for her so much that I’m so protective, but she’s good. She’s got a good head on her shoulders.”
And as for the content of Cyrus’ controversial single “We Can’t Stop”? Demi was all encouragement: “I think it’s a good song… It’s a song a lot of people have fun to and if people are enjoying it, then great.”
With sobriety comes diplomacy. Well played, Demi.
