She is the first performer announced for the August 25 event, held this year at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Hats off to Mother Monster. From her iconic meat dress to her gender-bending performance of “You And I”, the newly dressed-down diva knows how to milk the VMAs for maximum publicity. Just pray she doesn’t turn up naked or find herself sitting next to Lana Del Rey. Because both could well happen.
