Celine Dion Debuts “Loved Me Back To Life”: Watch Her Live & Hear Sia’s Demo

Well! It’s been a minute or two since we’ve heard anything new from the almighty Celine Dion, she of the extraordinary pipes and eccentric demeanor, but as it turns out, she’s been hard at work in the studio on a new album. Current collaborators include Ne-Yo (you’ve probably heard of him), Eg White (Adele, Florence & The Machine) and now, it seems, Sia.

Yes, the Australian songstress-turned-scribe behind all your favorite songs (Rihanna‘s “Diamonds,” for starters) has penned what’s rumored to be the lead single from Celine’s next album — and she debuted the song live in (where else?) Quebec.

It sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? Like a big, modern midtempo song with a vocal that few could demolish the way Celine does, which is exactly right for her at this stage of her career — contemporary but not bandwagon-jumping..

Sia’s original demo, which leaked in May, gives a little more hint to the production — listen below.

According to some tweets, her album is now titled Loved Me Back To Life and is due out in October. I’m certainly game.

Watch her live performance of the new song up top.
