So who are the Dolly Rockers then? That’s an unusually complicated question given the band’s line-up changes and history of false starts but in a nutshell they are one of pop music’s most underrated girl groups. (Listen to 2009’s “Boys Will Be Boys” for proof). What the British babes lack in chart success, they more than make up for in tenacity.
After staying in the public eye with a series of fantastic covers, the trio is back with a summery RedOne-produced anthem that might just signal better times ahead. There’s a subtle reggae flavor to the party jam, which represents an interesting change of direction for them. At a time when Little Mix are scoring hits internationally, there’s no reason why Dolly Rockers can’t get a piece of the pie. Prepare to raise your glass after the jump.
