Beyonce Is Still Working On Her Album, Says Beyonce’s Rep
What’s up with Beyonce? Why, I’m so glad you asked! I couldn’t tell you what’s official and what’s unofficial and what’s going to radio and what’s charting and whether “Grown Woman” and “Standing On The Sun” are singles and frankly, I don’t think anyone in Beyonce’s camp knows any of that stuff either.
In fact, Bey’s fifth album, which was rumored to be released earlier this year, has been so closely guarded that, well, people are starting to doubt whether it even exists at all. Is it in process? Do people like Ne-Yo and The-Dream and Diplo, who have said things about it on record, even know what they’re talking about? What’s going on here, anyway?
And then, the heavens opened up and the world was bathed in golden light as MTV News emailed Beyonce’s label rep to ask for a comment about the rumored November release date, and in return, he was blessed with an extraordinary revealing response.
“She continues to work on her album,” her rep wrote in an email.
What more could a Beyonce fan possibly want?
