Watch AlunaGeorge Cover Naughty Boy’s “La La La”
Britain’s Naughty Boy is on the rise: the producer-musician has been tapped to work on Britney Spears‘ next album, and he’s got a bona fide dance hit under his belt with “La La La.” Fellow red-hot Brits AlunaGeorge know a thing or two about making music you can get down to, having released their sleek debut Body Music this week, and so they’ve decided to capitalize on the momentum by covering the clubby track.
The duo performed “La La La” for BBC Radio 1′s Live Lounge, with a couple added live members of the band. As expected, AlunaGeorge’s rendition is twitchier and more cerebral. Aluna Francis’ wispy vocal style couldn’t be further from the full-throated soul of Sam Smith on the original, but she is able to sing the helium-voiced refrain.
