All those other late night shows can keep their pedestrian, by-the-numbers performance set-ups: Jimmy Fallon‘s sets with The Roots are an absolute joy to behold. The latest to receive Fallon’s treatment? Robin Thicke and his summer smash “Blurred Lines” — but this one was even more special, as the only instruments used were, as they put it, items that could be found in an grade school classroom.
But far from feeling elementary, the song actually came to life when set to kazoo, clacker and xylophone, while Thicke’s fluttery falsetto still sounds pretty ace.
Watch up top.
