Kanye West To Perform At 2013 MTV Video Music Awards
Kanye West is performing at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on August 25, which will be his seventh VMAs gig, tying him with Madonna for the most all time (of course, Yeezy tallied up his performances in a much shorter timeframe). West will do “Black Skinhead” (which apparently is now stylized as the much cooler “BLKKK SKKKN HEAD”), the same Yeezus cut he first unveiled with a thrilling performance on Saturday Night Live in May.
In addition to Ye, Lady Gaga is the only other confirmed performer as of today (August 5), and of course this pairing gives fans the opportunity to imagine a bizarro universe in which the Gaga-Kanye joint Fame Kills tour actually happened.
West’s most recent VMAs appearance came in 2011, when he performed “Otis” with Jay Z.
