Mark Wahlberg Tries To Pass Some Good Vibrations To Justin Bieber

Mark Wahlberg first tasted the limelight as the leader of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch at the age of 20, but prior to that he had a number of run-ins with the law while his older brother, Donnie, made it big with New Kids On The Block. So when Wahlberg was asked to give advice to Justin Bieber in a recent chat with The Sun, he was able to provide some much-needed levity and perspective to the overblown circus surrounding Biebs.

“He’s a kid! Let him live his life,” Wahlberg said. “He’s a teenager, obviously living in a different day and age. Everybody’s got a cell phone and paparazzi everywhere. I was in prison before I got a record out and I don’t think he’s been to prison. I don’t think he wants to go.” In other words: pissing in a bucket is not quite the same as trying to murder someone.

“This career can be short-lived,” Wahlberg added. “You might as well be the best you can while you’re doing it, while you’re in the game. And after, if you want to go ‘F’ off, do that.” Sage advice.
