Naya Rivera Has Some Choice Words For Her Man’s Ex On “Sorry”: Listen To Her Debut Single

Naya Rivera premiered her debut single “Sorry” on Los Angeles radio station Power 106 earlier today (August 9). The Glee actress appeared to be going in an urban direction from the 30 second snippet that leaked last week but the track is actually quite pop. Sure, there is heavy percussion and a rap from boyfriend Big Sean but the track wouldn’t sound out of place on a late ’90s Janet Jackson album. Which is a big compliment.

The 26-year-old doesn’t get a chance to show her voice in full flight on the feisty, retro R&B-pop jam but she more than makes up for that in attitude. Naya takes on her man’s ex in “Sorry”. At first she is rather sympathetic, singing “you’re wishing that it played out different, yeah I know it sux girl” but eventually she snaps and calls her rival “a hot mess”. Listen to the actress-turned-pop star do her thing after the jump.

Do you think Naya has what it takes to be a pop diva? Let us know in the comments below.
