Eminem’s “Survival”: Stream The First Track From His New Album

After months of speculation about Eminem‘s forthcoming eighth album, we now have official confirmation that it’s on the way. Em dropped new song “Survival” today (August 14), and it will be included on his new LP (as well as on the new “Call of Duty: Ghosts” video game, which is out November 5). The song itself is in the mold of “Won’t Back Down,” with a processed hair metal riff and a sung hook (this time from Liz Rodrigues of New Royales), and Em in angry mode over the type of militaristic percussion that usually accompanies his harder tracks. Basically, it’s a perfect fit for a shoot-em-up video game.

We’re also told “an announcement regarding [Eminem’s] new album and its first single is expected soon.” For now, stream the new track below.
