Did You Hear?

:: Selena Gomez revealed in a recent interview with Saturday Night Online that she had trouble recording the Stars Dance tracks “Love Will Remember” and “Forget Forever” because of their emotional subject matter tied to her break up with Justin Bieber.  “Obviously, ‘Love Will Remember’ is a personal song to me and I don’t really need to say anything,” she said in the interview, ultimately concluded that “it was really liberating” to record the tracks. :: Simon Cowell put on his dad pants for a hot minute during an interview with Skype regarding One Direction’s new album, where he revealed the boys will be writing some of their own material: “A lot of the tracks have been written by the guys this year and I’m always kind of nervous about that,” Cowell said, but immediately followed up with rare words of encouragement, “But I have to tell you, their writing is absolutely brilliant.” [Sugarscape]

:: After Prince’s glorious debut on Twitter last week reminded all of us how much we missed him, he goes ahead and drops the absolutely, mind-blowingly awesome cover art for “Breakfast Can Wait” featuring Dave Chappelle dressed as The Purple One serving pancakes, from those amazing Charlie Murphy sketches on Chappelle’s Show. :: Because things like this happen when you’re a part of the Jenner/Kardashian clan, Kylie Jenner got treated to a surprise visit from Drake — who performed “Versace” — and Big Sean at her Alice in Wonderland-themed (yes, seriously) sweet 16 birthday party, further augmenting the already star-studded guest list that included Tyga, Jaden and Willow Smith, Hailee Steinfeld, and Glees’s Naya Rivera.
