Mutya Keisha Siobhan Hit The Beach In Gorgeous “Flatline” Video: Watch

Mutya Keisha Siobhan‘s “Flatline” is one of the summer’s lushest singles, and fans who have been waiting years (literally, years) for new material from the recently reformed English girl group (previously Sugababes) likely won’t be disappointed by their debut video in this latest incarnation. Shot in Los Angeles last month, the clip follows the girls through a sun-streaked beach day — all coquettish sunglasses-lowering and shimmying — before following them into the desert, where they convene with a marching band.

That last bit is a stroke of genius, since it adds a visual flavor to Dev Hynes‘ anthemic percussion that makes those drums feel as transcendent as they did the first time I heard the song; the clip is shot through with an exuberance that’s contagious. (I mean, I got chills.)
