Katy Perry Teams Up With Pepsi To Unlock Two ‘Prism’ Song Snippets On August 24: See The Titles

Katy Perry has taken a page out of Beyonce‘s book and partnered with Pepsi, because in the future, all music will be released with the help of a beverage titan (makes sense — people don’t buy music anymore, but they’ll always want their Big Gulps). The #KatyNow campaign will unlock lyrics and other material regarding new Prism tracks “Dark Horse” and “Walking On Air” ahead of the album’s October 22 release. The more people tweet “#katynow” the sooner the material will be unlocked, culminating in the snippets streaming on Saturday (August 24).

Once the previews are up, fans will get to vote on which song they want to hear in full, with the winning song premiering on September 17 (Brit Brit can’t be too happy about that). Billboard is also reporting that Perry will close out the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (from an undisclosed location in Brooklyn!), and that the winning song will be revealed then.

Head here for more details and reveals, and get to tweeting!
