Britney Spears Records “Beautiful & Heartbreaking” Song With Sia
Britney Spears‘ as-yet-untitled eighth studio album is shaping up quite nicely, at least based on her tweets as of late. (And really, if we can’t go on the word of Britney’s Twitter, which she definitely updates herself, what can we trust?)
After news of a collaboration with William Orbit (amazing), the latest morsel of news to surface comes by way of a tweeted exchange with genius singer-songwriter-hitmaker Sia (who penned “Diamonds” for Rihanna), where Sia described Britney’s vocal performance as “outstanding.”
But then Britney took matters into her own hands, describing the song as “both beautiful and heartbreaking” and writing that it “[e]vokes SO much emotion every time I hear it.” Extraordinary.
She then described it as “[o]ne of the most beautiful songs I have recorded in a LONG time.” With a smiley face emoticon. Which pretty much says it all.
Given that we’re now counting down to something very special (all eyes on her), it seems that new music is all but upon us. In short: The world remains thoroughly unprepared. See the full exchange below.
