Beloved pop sensation Betty Who has had us disco-dancing all summer long with her debut EP The Movement — see “Somebody Loves You” and “You’re In Love” for more — and now, the hotly tipped pop chanteuse is gearing up for a whole lot more who with a second EP, which she’s currently recording in Los Angeles.
Billboard reports that the songbird has promised a new single by late September, with her as-yet-untitled second EP due at the top of 2014. She describes the new sound as more “articulate” than her first effort, as she hits the studio with producer Peter Thomas, who helped help the direction of The Movement (as well as recent tracks for Victoria Justice and Selena Gomez).
Why the rush with another release? As she explains, “I only have four songs out — that just seems kind of cruel.” Agreed.
