Lady Gaga has written a tribute to fashion designer Donatella Versace and the Zedd-produced track will definitely appear on ARTPOP. The “Applause” loving diva described the sure-to-be chic anthem as a love letter to her heroine.

“The song is an incredible crazy fun pop song with really raising electronic beats that I did with Zedd,” she told Just Jared in an exclusive interview. “It’s about being a fearless female and not caring what people say about you – being proud of who you are and walking the walk no matter what.”

Lady Gaga was asked if the track bore any similarity to Jay-Z‘s “Tom Ford” and she responded saying: “no, it’s not so much about Donatella as a brand as it is Donatella the person, about me as a person, that idea of what the public wants from you.”

In what could well be lyrics to the song, the 27-year-old continued: “Donatella, maybe she’s a bitch, maybe she’s too skinny, maybe she’s too rich, maybe she’s too out there. Or, maybe she’s brilliant, maybe she’s intelligent, maybe she’s strong, maybe she’s everything, maybe she’s Donatella.”

Mother Monster is expected to debut the song at the iTunes Festival on September 1 along with the continuation of “Telephone”, which may or may not feature Beyonce.
