2013 MTV Video Music Awards: Watch The Performances

The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards may be over, but now we can go back and relive the performances and figure out how they hold up separated from all the Pepsi commercials and Kevin Hart duds. No surprise, Lady Gaga kicked things off in theatrical fashion with her era-spanning “Applause” performance. She began dressed like an all-white Lego nun before disrobing into a sparkly black leotard, which served as a foundation for a few wig and outfit changes mid-song that referenced her past styles. And it all culminated in her clam shell bikini from the “Applause” video.

And that set the stage for an epic night — from Miley Cyrus teaming up with Robin Thicke for some tongue-wagging and gyrating (but mostly tongue-wagging) to Justin Timberlake performing every song ever to Katy Perry‘s closer under the Brooklyn Bridge. Head below to see all the performances.

Lady Gaga — “Applause”

Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, 2 Chainz & Kendrick Lamar — “We Can’t Stop/Blurred Lines/Give It 2 U”

Kanye West — “Blood On The Leaves”

Justin Timberlake (and a little *NSYNC) — All The Songs

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis featuring Mary Lambert with Jennifer Hudson

Drake — “Hold On We’re Going Home/Started From The Bottom”

Bruno Mars — “Gorilla”

Katy Perry — “Roar”
