There have been Internet rumblings about Busta Rhymes‘ massive G.O.O.D. Music-Young Money/Cash Money collaboration “I Wanna Thank You,” off his forthcoming album, and it sounds like we’ll be experiencing it pretty soon. Busta joined G.O.O.D. artists Kanye West and Q-Tip (and possibly fellow YMCMB rapper Lil Wayne) to record a video for their collab while they were all in New York City for the 2013 MTV VMAs.

“I was just trying to capitalize on the moment of us all being in the same city, at the same time,” Bus told MTV. The partnership comes at an important moment for the two labels, who are experiencing a detente of sorts after about a year of minor beef. “I just wanted to put it to bed and create an eventful moment where me and Wayne being Young Money/Cash Money on one team, Q-Tip and Kanye be on another movement on G.O.O.D. Music; just showing that camaraderie and that alliance and just making it official on a real hip-hop level,” Busta said.

Over the past year or so, Ye’s crew had minor beef with Weezy’s — Kanye and Drake had icy relations, while Pusha T and Lil Wayne had lobbed some verbal attacks at each other on wax. But any speculation about a true feud was swiftly quashed when Kanye made a surprise appearance at Drake’s OVO Festival earlier this month, performing and praising the Toronto MC. Afterward, Drizzy said, “That was probably the most important moment in my career to date.”
