Exclusive: Donna Summer’s ‘Love To Love You Donna’ Remix Album Tracklist Revealed

we still love to love her
Proof that Donna Summer‘s legacy will live on: several master DJs and artists like Hot Chip and Holy Ghost! have teamed up to remix the late singer’s classic hits on Love To Love You Donna, a collection due out on October 22. (Pre-order here.) Today Idolator is revealing the official 13-song tracklist for the remix album, which includes Summer’s compositions as revamped by Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper (“Hot Stuff”), Afrojack (“I Feel Love”), Laidback Luke (“MacArthur Park”), Jacques Greene (“On The Radio”) and more.

Also, as it turns out, there’s a big surprise in store for Donna’s fans on the album: an unreleased track called “La Dolce Vita,” a collaboration between the singer and her longtime producer Giorgio Moroder.

“The thing I miss most about Donna is the vitality with which she surrounded herself,” Moroder told us in the spring, while reflecting on Summer. And we knew exactly what he was talking about, because that vitality is felt by everyone who’s ever listened to Grammy-winning diva’s music.

Below is the tracklist for the remix album. Note: the cover art is being revealed on Summer’s official Facebook today.

So excited for this album. There’s only one Donna Summer!

  • Peter

Could have done without 2 I Feel Love remixes… but Working The Midnight Shift makes up for it! Can’t wait to hear the remixes and new track!

    • DJ Fruit Loops

it is beyond cheap it is disgusting that they would use some back up singer instead of Donnas Vocals and there are more mixes here that are just dreadful like the on teh radio mix that is a hot mess

  • Robert

The remix in general is a succes but the disappointing fact is that Holy Ghost didn´t use Donna´s vocals. It´s just some female singer and therefore it sounds a bit cheap.
