Today, in #ugh: DJ Holiday has dropped a new song featuring Waka Flocka Flame and Wiz Khalifa, titled “Miley” — yes, as in Miley Cyrus. “Miley” never calls out the Bangerz star by name, but Waka does make sure she would feel included, thanks to one line in particular: “If her booty flat, ass shots, I’ll pay for that.”

“Miley” isn’t exactly a tribute, and thanks to its generic claps and rhymes of strip club nights, it doesn’t feel particularly inspired in general. DJ Holiday’s new song only seems to serve one purpose: capitalize on the fervor surrounding Cyrus right now, thanks to her MTV Video Music Awards performance, her rap debut in Mike WiLL Made It‘s “23” and the strip club-referencing “We Can’t Stop.”

Cyrus has received plenty of criticism for the blindsiding cultural appropriation of her Bangerz era, but it’s equally as bizarre to see rap radio stars like DJ Holiday, also on-air personality for Atlanta’s Streetz 94.5, paying close attention to — if not actually trying to align themselves with — her “Bandz”-inspired (and, at this point, headache-inducing) transformation. Hear DJ Holiday’s “Miley” after the jump.
