Pharrell may have the Midas touch, but part of that is because he chooses his projects pretty wisely. So the fact that he’s giving Miley Cyrus a co-sign by working with her on several tracks from forthcoming album Bangerz speaks volumes. Despite that, certain types of music fans will still refuse to accept Miley as a legitimate artist. But perhaps Pharrell’s latest comments will be enough to convert the Miley haters. On the red carpet at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards on Tuesday (September 3), the super-producer completely gushed about the starlet, calling her a triple threat and promising that her new album would stun listeners.
“You’re gonna realize how much of a triple threat she is. She can act, she can sing, she can dance. And let’s just face it, her fashion — when she’s doing red carpets, she kills it,” Pharrell said. “When you hear this album, you guys are gonna be like, ‘Ah damn, we thought we knew.’ Keep in mind, dude, she was born in Nashville, her dad is Billy Ray Cyrus and her godmother is Dolly Parton. There’s a whole other side that you guys are about to hear.”
