Need a new female singer-songwriter to convey all the toxic emotion you keep bottled inside? Look no further than Meg Myers. The Los Angeles-based bad ass won a loyal following with fury-filled anthems “Heart Heart Head” and “Monster” but embraces a tantalizing (but admittedly still gloomy) pop element on new single “Desire”.

Tapping into the raw honesty of Ani DiFranco with a sprinkling of Alanis Morissette‘s lyrical nous, Meg is sure to turn heads with memorable lines like “I wanna fuck you, I wanna feel you in my bones” and “I wanna taste you, I wanna skin you with my tongue”. The song positively seethes with discontent but is still strangely hummable, which is a triumph in itself. Listen to “Desire” after the jump.
