Britney Spears’ “Work Bitch!”: New Details From Someone Who’s Actually Heard It
Update: Our friends at Country Club Martini Crew report that the snippet of “Work” which was circulating this morning was something they just put together for fun. Oh well.
Original Post: Britney Spears‘ new single “Work Bitch!” is due out next week, and in anticipation of the premiere, there’s some new things making waves in the Britney community. Some rumored audio! Some new details from a critic who heard it! And, well, that’s pretty much it.
First up! A bouncy little nugget of audio, which features — as rumored — a little sample from RuPaul‘s “Supermodel,” but in a relatively subtle way. Generally, rumored instrumental snippets evoke skepticism, but this one has a little looped in vocal snippet that sounds distinctly Britneyesque — first at 0:11 and then something murmured at around 0:19. Is it Britney? Is it Myah Marie? The world will never know. (Until next week, when the song is unveiled.) But the production sounds splashy, expensive and modern, which certainly bodes well.
Give it a gander below.
As for additional details? Popjustice gave the single a listen and teased a few promising lyrics and general impressions:
