Azealia Banks Channels ’90s House (Again) With “Count Contessa”: Listen

It’s no surprise that Azealia Banks is a fan of “Vogue” culture and ’90s house music (she was born in 1991, after all), and her new song continues to evoke the transcendent grooves of that decade. Titled “Count Contessa,” the tune finds Banks rapping in a faux-British accent that pairs well with the luxurious production. The song is the first single off Banks’ forthcoming mixtape Fantasea II: The Second Wave — which is the sequel to last year’s Fantasea.

But don’t think Banks forgot about her upcoming debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste — which still doesn’t have a release date, by the way. Over the weekend, the rapper posted a teaser clip for the “ATM Jam” music video, which you can see below.
