Azealia Banks Claims Lady Gaga Stole “Red Flame” From Her

Azealia Banks reignited her beef with Lady Gaga on Twitter last night (September 17), claiming that Gaga stole ARTPOP song title “Red Flame” from a demo Banks sent her, which was supposed to be a collaboration between the two for Gaga’s forthcoming album. The outspoken rapper tweeted, “@ladygaga make sure u let them know where u got the title for red flame from. U stole that from the demo I sent u.” Banks then played it off as a “don’t worry, this one’s on me” thing, before levying the coldest attack there is: “Team Katy.” Ouch.

Obviously, we have no idea what happened behind the scenes here. But back in February, Banks teased the song during a video chat, so she definitely had some form of the track in her possession.

Head below to see Azealia’s tweets, which as of this writing haven’t provoked a response from Lady Gaga.

Last month, Gaga announced that Banks would not appear on ARTPOP. Soon after, Banks claimed Gaga copped her style by rocking mermaid outfits, and when a fan asked Gaga about the rapper a couple weeks later, Mother Monster said Yung Rapunxel “has a bad attitude.” This is more harrowing than watching Jesse and Walt’s falling out on Breaking Bad.
