Pusha T & Kendrick Lamar Reminisce On “Nosetalgia”: Listen

Pusha T has dropped yet another foreboding track from what appears to be the very bleak My Name Is My Name (out October 8). On “Nosetalgia,” King Push and King Kendrick Lamar both weave tales about coming of age in the drug game, and it is gripping stuff. The Nottz beat is economic and tight, wisely letting the narratives speak for themselves.

That’s not to underplay the beat, which is another master class in spare chilliness from MNIMN. The percussion mirrors the rhythmic pattern Kanye West and Don Cannon built in “Numbers On The Boards,” but this song adds some scratches and a piercing guitar riff to break through the cold.
