Carrie Underwood will be on two networks at once Sunday night (September 22). The country superstar will appear in the Sunday Night Football introduction on NBC, as usual, but she’ll also be seen performing at the 65th Emmy Awards on CBS that night. Underwood will perform music from the early ’60s in honor of the landmark television events from that era, such as coverage of the JFK assassination in 1963 and The Beatles descending on the Ed Sullivan Show months later.
Underwood, whose career began on television with her American Idol win in 2005, is becoming something of a TV regular. On December 5, she’ll star in NBC’s live The Sound Of Music special.
