This week in the pop world was jam-packed, with The X-Factor making its season three premiereJustin Timberlake dropping a new knockout single with The 20/20 Experience: 2 of 2‘s “TKO,” and Katy Perry releasing her promotional traplite single “Dark Horse” featuring Juicy J.

Miley Cyrus released four (very sexy) alternative covers for BANGERZ and broke off her engagement with Liam Hemsworth, while Sky Ferreira and her boyfriend got in trouble with the law after being caught with drugs – everything is truly embarrassing. The Beyhive snatched Beyonce -literally- off the stage and our good friend Betty Who got signed to RCA! But the best news this week came from our favorite Princess of Pop, Britney Spears! She released her anticipated single “Work Bitch” and also announced her two-year homestay at Las Vegas on Good Morning America!

We were also busy at Idolator, creating this month’s Magazine Melee which pins Christina AguileraKaty Perry, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus against each other to see who gives the fiercest cover pose. Last week’s Ibrawlator was so popular that we created a part two – adding Janet JacksonPaula AbdulShakiraNicole ScherzingerMiley Cyrus and Rihanna. Click here to vote until September 24!

Check out some of this week’s best comments below!

:: Donna Summer fans were NOT happy about Holy Ghost!‘s new remix to her classic “Working The Midnight Shift,” causing many (including Johnny M) to start a petition on Donna Summer’s “Working The Midnight Shift” (Holy Ghost! Remix): Idolator Premiere: This song does NOT feature Donna’s voice!! It is nothing but a lame cover version. We need to start an email-writing campaign to get Verve Records to remove this trash from the album.I don’t want to hear another singer,I strictly want to hear Donna only!! Who’s with me on this?

:: Howiet is not here for Mother Monster’s messiness on Lady Gaga Explains The True Meaning Of “Applause,” Sort Of: “What a pretentious loud of hypocritical bullsh*t. One minute she’s saying it’s about what people ‘think’ celebs live for, the next she’s saying it ‘is’ what she lives for. And then calling herself an artist rather then a celeb, blah blah. He ego is so out of control it’s just UGLY.”

:: Özge Olcay uses pop culture references on Demi Lovato & Naya Rivera Cover The Beatles’ “Here Comes The Sun”: Hear The ‘Glee’ Track: “No. -insert grump cat photo here-”

:: Austin expressed his hopes for Sky Ferreira‘s future career on Sky Ferreira’s “You’re Not The One”: Preview Her Gorgeous New Single: “I’ve been a fan of Sky for four years and I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve been disappointed by her label/personal reasons being the cause of her music to be delayed. At this point, I expect her music to be delayed and that’s not a good expectation to have. She needs to get a grip on things if she ever wants to be taken seriously in the music industry. She has the talent, but she’s wasting it. And I understand that it has not always been her doing that caused the setbacks, but the most recent one just really disappointed me. But this song is fantastic and if she can get her personal life together, she will be great.”

:: ptizzy couldn’t hold his excitement about Azealia Banks‘ new track on Azealia Banks Channels ’90s House (Again) With “Count Contessa”: Listen: “YASSS!!! I am here for this! Do the damn thing, Miss Banks!!!”

:: Many weren’t feeling will.i.am‘s production presence on Britney‘s “Work Bitch,” including Jamison Pimm on Britney Spears’ “Work Bitch” Hits The Web Early: Listen To The Club Banger That Works (Bitch): “I love britney. i do not love will.i.am. this has will.i.am written all over it and i’m not happy about it. message to will.i.am: LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!”

:: Lastly, Jay makes an awesome comparison on Sky Ferreira & Boyfriend Arrested For Drug Possession While Driving Stolen Car, Sigh: “And everyone says Miley’s a hot mess. possession while driving a stolen car? that alone makes Miley still look like Hannah Montana.”
