After being lowered from the ceiling on a swing, Cher daintily took her seat wearing a skimpy mini-skirt and bedazzled leather jacket. And then proceeded to turn the Late Show With David Letterman upside down with her wit and straight talking. The pop legend was quizzed about her rock star friends and reminisces about Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones — among others.

The conversation then turned to Miley Cyrus, who Cher not only covered on Closer To The Truth but also publicly criticized. Ever the straight shooter, the “Woman’s World” warbler admits she said too much but maintains her stance that the 20-year-old’s twerk-tastic MTV VMA performance wasn’t good. She did, however, cop to watching “Wrecking Ball” on YouTube and praised the song and video. See Cher go to town up top.
