Two Nellys Are Better Than One: Listen To The Duo’s Inspirational Collab “Headphones”
Nelly Furtado failed to set the charts on fire with her hugely underrated Spirit Indestructible album but she’s fighting back with a pair of hip-hop collaborations. The Canadian superstar teamed up with Stack$ on “Getaway” and now features on Nelly‘s uplifting “Headphones”. The M.O. highlight finds the similarly named veterans in a hopeful mood.
“Imma turn my headphones up and fly away, blast off to the stars because I don’t wanna think,” sings Nelly over soaring synths and clapping beats. The enduring MC then steps in to deliver some inspirational advice, insisting that the important thing in life is “living in the moment with my shorty right beside me”.
