Rihanna Covers ‘Glamour,’ Talks “Learning To Be Fearless Again”

The last time Rihanna covered Glamour in September 2011, she talked of how she wasn’t allowed to wear pink or red lipstick at the start of her career. “We had a young fan base, and they were trying to keep me fresh,” she said. “But I just really wanted to be myself. I wanted to be sassy, the attitude, all these things that I am.”

Now two years later on Glamour‘s November 2013 issue, Rihanna appears as if she was shot right after she chopped off her grey streaks this summer. At the time, Rihanna admitted that she had to adjust to seeing the cropped, curly ‘do. (Her Army did too, apparently.)

But as Glamour‘s new cover and a sneak peek inside the issue reveals, she ends up resembling both the exuberant Dorothy Dandridge and “black widow” Elizabeth Taylor. Not bad, for someone apparently “learning to be fearless again.” (See the tagline.)
